1-Elicit that the text is an advice column from a magazine. Ask the students to discuss the questions at the top of the page in pairs.

2-Tell the students to read the advice column to find out if it contains any of their ideas.

3-Introduce CB XA. Tell the students to read the text again and answer the questions.

4-Explain (on the board) with examples how to form the reported speech. Focus on the changes in pronouns and tenses. Then tell the students to complete the sentences on WB.

5-Introduce WBx E. Elicit the first sentence orally, then tell the students to complete the others.
